We surveyed vertical distribution of vegetation of forest floor along mountain foot pass in east side of Mt. Kiso-Komagatake (altitude:1500m-2600m), central Japan in 2009. We found 54 woody species and 64 herbaceous species in total. There vegetation has been different from the vegetation data in 1990 (Kaneko and Baba 1992). Many conifer species, such as Abies mariesii, Picea jezoensis var. hondoensis, Tsuga diversifolia, have been disappeared in wide range of altitude. Several broad leaved woody species, such as Betula ermanii, Sorbus matsumurana, have been disappeared in lower range of altitude, but newly found in higher range of altitude. Several herbaceous species have been newly found in top of mountain. These changes in vegetation of forest floor might be affected not only by global worming, but also by structural change of forest canopy.
