ESJ60 Abstract

自由集会 W16 -- 3月5日 18:00-20:00 G会場

Using insights from mathematical models to incorporate ecological dynamics and social concern into effective ecosystem management.

Organizers: Joung-Hun Lee (Kyushu univ.), Hiroyuki Yokomizo (National Institute for Environmental Studies)

Mathematical models of ecosystem management can be used to derive optimal decisions or gain useful insights. We discuss ways to promote adoption of models incorporating ecological dynamics and social concern into management practice.

Effects of marine protected areas on overfished fishing stocks *Takashina N (Kyushu U), Mougi A (Ryukoku U)

Adaptive management of the brown bear population in Hokkaido, Japan *Otha U (Yokohama U), Jusup M (Kyushu U), Mano T, Tsuruga H (Hokkaido Research Organization), Matsuda H (Yokohama U)

Coupled socio-economic and ecological dynamics for management of agricultural landscapes in Sado Island *Yokomizo H (NIES), Tsuge T (Konan U), Nakamura S (INTAGE Inc), Ujiie K (U of Tsukuba), Usio N (Niigata U)

Optimal investment for social awareness about biodiversity *Lee JH, Iwasa Y (Kyushu U)
