The idea that the poverty is an agent of forest degradation and victims of forest loss is not new. People clear forests and the land converted to other uses, such as agriculture or infrastructure. Forest provides wood, food, gum, fruits, medical plants, and other goods and services to local people. This research was talking about forest product utilization by local people in transition zone Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, West Java. The data was collected by interviewing 210 households in six villages. According to the survey, local people were collecting forest products such as; for fuel wood, fruits, gum, bamboo, medicine, food and forestland as agriculture. The result said that 84 percent from the respondents are using forest product as a fuel and 28 percent using forestland for agriculture. In the end of the result, we can conclude that household dependency on forest product and forestland in TNGP is low level.
