The SATOYAMA landscape has been changing from 1960s. The abandonment of SATOYAMA forests caused the damage on agricultural products by wildlives including the Japanese monkeys Macaca fuscata because of industrialization and depopulation. These days, there are no complete countermeasures of agricultural damage by wildlife. The range of damage is extended. The object of this research is to 1)make sure the place that monkeys had come and where will go, 2)pick up the characteristics of the village where will have damage by monkeys. The research place is located in Akiohta-cho, Hiroshima Prefecture. We had questionnaires about the damage on agricultural products by the monkeys. From this questionnaire, we picked up the tendency of the damage on agricultural products by monkeys and found the characteristic of place where have the damage on agricultural products by the monkeys. As the results, we found tendency of the damage on agricultural products by the monkeys is different in each village. The monkeys will not make damage in rural village and will make damage in civilized area. Moreover, the scale of the damage by the monkeys has a mutual relation with some factors.
