Providing alternatives for decision making is essential in natural resource management. Despite landscape ecological is a prominent approach in natural resource management, the alternatives formulation can be provided by landscape ecological models. However, due to unstructured problems in natural resource management, it needs to bridge landscape ecological approaches and decision making process using “Spatial Decision Support System” (SDSS). This study is a part of SDSS development in Sultan Adam Forest Park, which focuses on the early stage of the design process. The purpose of this study is to develop matrices and flowcharts design for SDSS development cycle. It consists of problem definition and identification of stakeholders, define requirements, and system design. The resultant matrix shows that Forestry Service of South Kalimantan Province plays a key role due to its both big power and high interest on Sultan Adam Forest Park management. Other stakeholders are varied in their power and interest categories. Furthermore, the resultant flowchart included four components in the design, namely (1) landscape ecological models, (2) knowledge layers, (3) stakeholder’s layers, and (4) Geographic Information System layers. The output matrix and flowchart of this study are then continued by development cycles in further stages of the SDSS design.
