Diversity of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi in Hulunbuir Desert of China

We invsetigated the biodiversity of Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in the Hulunbuir desert of China. Three host plants, Caragana microphylla Lam., Corispermum hyssopifolium L., Croispermum squarrosum (L.) Moq. were selected to be the research sites that were distributed as a whole. Nested PCR method (first PCR primer: NS1-NS4, second PCR primer: AML1- AML2) was used to detect AMF in the root of host plant and then cloning was performed. As a result, in the root of Corispermum spp. there was no single AMF but in C. microphylla, there were several AMFs - Glomus sp., Paraglomus sp., Rhizophagus sp., Sclerocystis sp. - There was some effort to restore desert to healthy vegetation in the world. From this result, since Corispermum spp. was found to be independent of AMF even under severe conditions, this species is very suitable for the early stages of restoration of the desert. Therefore in order to promote agglomeration of desert soil, Corispermum spp. is recommended as a herbal plant factor. As for C. microphylla, it is related to AMF. And because it can fix nitrogen compounds to the soil, we can think of that plant as a shrub factor in a desert restoration.
