シンポジウム S22-4 (Presentation in Symposium)
Resource-consumer (predator-prey) systems with a strong Allee effect on the resource can exhibit bistability between a productive (coexistence) and a degraded (extinction) state.
I present a mathematical analysis showing how the degree of coupling between consumer and resource affects the resilience of the productive (coexistence) state. I illustrate the general model with an example applied to the management of livestock in dry rangelands.
