Green network analysis of tropical urban ecosystem in Jakarta, Indonesia

The role of urban green space is emphasized by not only ecologists but also interdisciplinary scholars. The abrupt urbanization with economic growth especially, developing countries accelerates the fragmentation and decrease of urban green spaces. Fragmented and decreased urban green spaces are needed to construct the network for better landscape ecological function. The Jakarta as a capital city of Indonesia is important for maintain and development of green space networks. The network model for landscape ecological function can support the planning and management of urban areas. Neural network model can help to evaluation and indication of landscape pattern of urban green spaces. Moreover, application of this model can support to predict the potential urban green spaces. Therefore, probably this model can give the useful information for sustainable urban landscape planning and management to tropical urban ecosystem.
