Dear BES President Professor Georgina Mace,
I am told that the British Ecological Society is about to celebrate its 100th Anniversary.
On behalf of the Ecological Society of Japan I am writing to send you my warmest congratulations. At a time of the Planet under Pressure, I acknowledge your Society's leadership in the global environmental issues. Our Society is 40 years younger than your Society, established 60 years ago. I know that your Society is striving to support our members.
We wish the BES a successful meeting this year as joint meeting of BES and INTECOL in London and continued excellence in promoting the science of ecology. We are honoured to join in your celebration.
